When you walk into a pool store there are endless supplies of “shock” from companies promising that if you use their product, then your pool will conquer the battle with algae. Super Shock, Shock Plus, Complete Shock and the names go on and on. While their product may help, rest assured it is nothing more than a glamorized form of chlorine. There are only two types of chlorine, stabilized and un-stabilized. That’s it. Don’t let anyone tell you differently!
